The Groove Just Got Flashier’ as NBA Champions Alonzo “Zo” Mourning and Dwyane “Flash” Wade –a.k.a. D. Wade - host the Miccosukee Zo’s Summer Groove Introducing D. Wade (ZSG), a five-day weekend offering something for everyone from youth basketball clinics, golf tournament, comedy jam, benefit dinner, youth summit, free block party, all-star basketball game, and numerous after-party functions. Proceeds benefit Alonzo Mourning Charities and the Wade’s World Foundation. This ZSG Sponsored by Miccosukee Resort & Gaming, this nationally recognized fun-filled event has become a staple in the South Florida community and beyond. ZSG works to promote community involvement by encouraging event participants to enjoy a weekend of activities that ultimately benefits South Florida’s most underserved children and families. “Dwyane’s leadership and personal interest in helping young people develop their goals is aligned with the core of what Alonzo Mourning Charities does,” said Mourning. “I look forward to a successful partnership with him for many years to come as his presence will lend an additional boost to ZSG and our community-centered efforts.”
Kicking off the festivities on July 9th is the Nike ZSG Youth Basketball Clinic at the Miramar Youth Enrichment Center More than 2,000 kids learn basic basketball fundamentals from the league’s best including Rasual Butler, Kenny Anderson, Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade. The second session will be held at the Overton Youth Center in Miami, where kids will be joined by NBA players- Udonis Haslem, Dorell Wright, Carlos Boozer and Mike James

I love that NBA players are always doing different charities and stuff. I wish that MLB did more things like that. It could help them clean up their image.
